WE called our selves ROCKY & HIS FRIENDS  

I was on the Denebola from May 66-May 68. I Was Brooklyn, N.Y. May
12-May through 17,1966 awaiting orders for a ship. They came May 17 at about 12 noon. I left for Norfolk, Va & arrived at 0030 on May 18. The Petty Officer of the watch had the messenger take me to a berthing area. Sat & Sun I met a few of the crew & Monday May  20th I was assigned to 2nd division. I met BM2 Bruce, Sn Lawhorn,  SKI Richard Brzozowski, Sn Joe Baril, and BM3 Pfeiffer Sn Mike Dilley & Others.


I have pictures & names in my PHOTO ALBUM. Great Memories. I am really
looking forwards to the REUNION... We can all exchange some great sea stories...If you are a member at www.classmates.com ( I am not ),You go under military, locate USS DENEBOLA AF 56, I think there are about 94 names. I can Remember Zenner, Ormiston, Starks, Hastings, Moore, Madrin, Zdunic, Johnson, Douglas, Rohweider, Abbott, Miller, ENS Stone. WE called ourselves ROCKY & HIS FRIENDS ).

I had taken movies during that period and hope they are still good. I plan to have put them on VHS & DVD.. .
