           Now each of us from time to time has gazed upon the sea,
"Man Overboard     
              I was on the Helm and It was sunny & calm.
              Two boats, one-no power and the other no steering.....

              One night I was standing Electrician of the Watch.......
In January, 1971, the Denebola was on it's way to the Med.......
             The Captain sent ice cream and coffee for the tugboat's crew
I was onboard Denebola from Dec 1957 to about June 1959
             I had to work my butt off making kool aid for the visitors.
Electrician mates rigged the med lights, every time we entered port
            Liberty call came late for us, except one night....

          I happen to enter number four cargo hold and found lots of water

I really loved duty on that ship. It was like family.
             I was in the engine room as an MM2......
After reading your "Sea Stories", it reminded me of the fireball situation
            .we went South to participate in the Cuban missile crisis..

            Liberty boat operations had been suspended because of high seas.
My worst memory occurred in Naples, Italy. 
          It wasn’t long before a lot of gold showed up.

            He welcomed me aboard .....
Remember making first sea cruise to Puerto Rico,
            getting seasick and swearing to fly back to the states

            after a hard day at sea, the tugboats just took too long...
You bet, we had resister rooms for the unit winches,
            the salt air reeked havoc on the Bakelite
