I was gunnery officer aboard the
Denebola in 1968-69. I began my photography hobby while on board and
that experience, plus the fact that I was in the Navy, was
instrumental in starting my first career in the news media.
So, my relatively short tour on board the Denebola pretty much
influenced my entire life.
